Cox, Wootton, Lerner, Griffin & Hansen, LLP, is growing to meet our clients’ needs and
business expansion.  With offices in California and Hawaii, CWL provides a wide range of
litigation and transactional services, which now expand and go beyond our traditional
transportation-focused practice areas. At its core, CWL is unique in that each of its lawyers are
trained in maritime law and provide 24/7 oil spill and marine casualty response.  CWL is
currently the largest all-maritime law firm on the U.S. West Coast.

We are pleased to announce the addition of the following lawyers, who bring their unique
experience and backgrounds to serve CWL’s clients and their underwriters:

in investigating and defending various maritime matters, including the Jones Act, crew and
passenger claims, vessel groundings, and limitation of liability. In addition to maritime law, Mr.
Miyashiro has represented and advised business owners, CEOs, Officers and Directors, and
Trustees in various legal matters over the past 20 years in a diverse practice including
experience in commercial and business disputes, insurance litigation, real property disputes,
product liability defense, trust litigation, professional liability, premises liability and personal
injury matters. Prior to starting his law practice, Mr. Miyashiro served as a patrol officer with
the Honolulu Police Department. He currently volunteers as a Commissioner with the Honolulu
